sustainability given by the University for International Cooperation (UCI) working constantly in the struggle for sustainability leading environmental efforts, approving a proposal to create "green campus" as a whole with 14 higher education institutions in the country, public and private, belonging to the Costa Rican Sustainable Educational Institutions (REDI), which was an initiative of the Earth, for about a year.
The idea is to focus activities in the water, electricity, greenhouse gas emissions and solid waste, and work by creating an environment friendly and resource use.
REDIE also seeks the creation of a technical committee with broad criteria regarding the issue of social responsibility, carbon neutral, as part of the "country strategy" for the year 2021, sharing success stories from leading institutions in the management of solid waste and sewage, among others.
also intended to go further, not only to sustainable development in education, the idea is to encourage public and private companies to undertake joint actions for the environment.
