Letter Excuse Attend Wedding

Interview with the new president of UNESCO Madrid on

On Thursday, Day 31, we were greeted by the new President of UNESCO Centre of the Community of Madrid , D. Dionisio Llamazares. Our intention in convening the meeting was to introduce the new representative of UNESCO in Madrid and renew lines of collaboration to continue the search for Beti-Jai save.

After informing and updating the new president of the state of the art with respect to the Beti-Jai, we received a commitment to continue on the same line of work. That is, it confirms the intention to initiate the declaration file of the Beti-Jai, in UNESCO headquarters in Paris as a World Heritage Site once it is restored and in use.

We will not tire of reminding the government that should not miss this opportunity for Madrid to join its list of monuments, its first property declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This statement would defend the Beti-Jai as material wealth is no doubt due to its architectural value and intangible heritage as the place where they practiced the most ancient of our sports. The ball game.

Finally we also thank for their collaboration and support to the outgoing Chairman, D. Tomás Soler, and president of the Heritage Commission, Ms Teresa Biehn, without which we could not have made progress in our fight to save the Beti-Jai.
